Despite the transfer deadline in England and Scotland having passed, Saudi Arabian clubs are still able to sign players.

If Trossard agrees the move, he would join the likes of Karim Benzema, Moussa Diaby and N’Golo Kante at Saudi club Al-Ittihad.

There are doubts over Trossard’s place in the Arsenal squad for the 2024-25 campaign following Raheem Sterling’s deadline day arrival.

On a dramatic transfer deadline day, which also saw Jadon Sancho come close to joining Stamford Bridge, the Gunners rushed to sign Sterling from their London rivals as they edged closer to finally ending their attempts to sign a new attacker.

There is no obligation to buy an option in the agreement, which was finalized early Saturday morning.

“It’s an amazing feeling. It’s really exciting. I’m thrilled,” Sterling said.

“It’s a project we left for last, but I was hoping it would come to fruition. Looking at it all, I said to myself: ‘This is perfect for me’ and I’m very happy to have achieved it.”

‘I spoke to (sporting director) Edu and told him that you can see the true unity from Mikel’s time here and you can see the journey the boys are on.

“You can see the hunger, and I keep saying again that unity is something I seek to be a part of.”
