Green with envy? Shrek 2 SMASHES Saturday Night Rove in the ratings – after Channel 10 had humiliatedly scrapped the variety show after two episodes
Channel 10 axed variety show Saturday Night Rove last week after just two episodes, opted to air a repeat of Shrek 2 on Saturday instead.
And unfortunately for Rove McManus, the animation film from Dreamworks, which was released 15 years ago in 2004, scores higher than its last episode.
Last Saturday, only 138,000 agreed to see Rove, so it was canceled, with his replacement Shrek 2 pulling an impressive 157,000 this week.

The new schedule came one day after host Rove confirmed that his new show had been canceled after it could not protect more than 140,000 viewers on Saturday.
& # 39; It was clear that we were looking at the figures that the audience that we hoped would find a live show with free walking on Saturday night was simply not there & # 39 ;, Rove said in a statement to TV Tonight
