A hard-working Australian is set to take early retirement after winning a $3.3 million lottery prize over the weekend.
The man, from Greystanes in Sydney’s west, became a multimillionaire on Saturday night after buying a ticket from his local news agency.
He was one of three division one winners in Lotto draw 4483, each of whom took home a whopping $3.3 million.
“Oh, man! I’ve been playing these numbers for 40 years and they finally came out!” the man said when told about his win.
The winning entry also earned 12 points in division three and 14 times in division four, bringing its total winnings to a whopping $3,344,195.44.
“It’s a dream come true. I don’t even know how much money it is,” he said.
‘I checked my ticket last night and I knew I had won, but it still hasn’t sunk in. It’s unbelievable.
“And it has come at the most perfect time. My retirement has come early.

“I’m going to finish the house the way I like it and then I can relax,” he said.
‘I’ve waited 40 years for this!’
Narith Lim, owner of Greystanes Centre news agency, said she was hoping to spread the good news that another premier league grand prix had arrived in the region.
‘When I first heard that my news agency had sold a division one winning copy, I was incredibly excited and thrilled for the winner.
‘It’s a great feeling to know that someone from our store had such a big win.
“In the last 10 years, we have sold six first division winning tickets in this store. We hope that this number will continue to increase.”
The winning numbers were 4, 20, 26, 3, 15 and 44, while the complementary numbers were 7 and 35.
