A Brisbane man has won his second big lottery prize this year after taking home $3.7 million in Saturday’s Gold Lotto draw.
The latest win follows a $2.8 million lottery win earlier this year.
“I can’t believe it happened again,” he said after learning of the victory. ‘I had a double reaction when I checked it this morning.
“I thought, ‘Wow, this is amazing.’ Winning twice is magical.
‘I told my brothers this morning and my sister said, ‘Is this real? What are the possibilities?’.
‘My brother called all his friends and they gathered to celebrate.
“Some might wonder why I’m still playing, but I thought I should give it another chance to continue helping my family. We’re all very surprised.”
Asked what he planned to do with another multimillion-dollar boost, the medical worker said it would help him work on himself.

“Last time, I used most of the victory to help start my family,” he said.
‘Now I will be able to donate to many charities, buy a property and travel the world.
‘This really gives me the freedom to travel everywhere. I want to see the whole world.
‘I’m still working. I love what I do. I work in the medical field and I really enjoy giving back to those less fortunate.’
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4481 were 30, 24, 44, 21, 45 and 10, while the supplementary numbers were 31 and 28.
