Poppy O’Toole, 28, appeared on the BBC One show to cook for singer and Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon.
The chef explained how she started a TikTok page to share potato-related content after losing her job.
Poppy shared how she quickly amassed 4 million followers on the app, which she was amazed at as she started her account “from a quim.”
Presenter Matt Tebbutt, 49, realized she had made a mistake and corrected her, insisting she started her TikTok page “on a whim”.

A stunned Poppy proceeded to question Matt about what a ‘quim’ was, while the host clumsily sidestepped the issue.
The word “quim” is defined by the Collins dictionary as a British vulgar slang noun for female genitalia.
Amused viewers quickly took to Twitter after seeing the on-screen scenes.

Poppy lost her job at the start of the lockdown and she previously revealed how ‘playing on TikTok’ rekindled her love of cooking and led to an influencer career with millions of followers and even a book deal.
Michelin-trained Poppy from London started working in kitchens when she was 18. When the country went into lockdown in 2020, she was laid off from her 70-hour week job in a top kitchen.
Unable to pay rent, she moved back into her childhood home for what she thought would be a two-week lockdown where her younger siblings introduced her to TikTok.

She is now a huge TikTok star, with dozens of big names and brands backing her.
The chef has deals with major companies, including American Express, and has gone beyond making videos of potatoes, including teaching millions basic chef techniques, including the perfect way to slice an onion and how to poach an egg , both of which have generated millions in views.
“Like many chefs last year, my career came to a halt when the lockdown hit and restaurants across the country closed,” she told MailOnline.
“I was fired before furlough was a word and my employers didn’t even hang around to try and apprehend me.
“I really had to think about how I was going to pay the rent.
“I went back home for what I thought would be a lockdown of about two weeks, felt sorry for myself for about two days and then spent hours scrolling through TikTok thinking… I could!
“Growth was slow at first, but even one or two comments a day paid off.
“It wasn’t until I started my potato series in November that I went from 100,000 followers to over a million overnight!”
