SAS Australia: Manu Feildel STOPS in most dramatic exit yet

SAS Australia’s most dramatic exit yet: Manu Feildel STOPS before a challenge even begins to say he’s ‘having the good life and has nothing to prove to himself’ – before crying to wife moments later

Manu Feildel became the third recruit to voluntarily resign from SAS Australia on Wednesday night.

The celebrity chef, 47, dramatically handed over his number to head instructor Ant Middleton while surrounded by his fellow recruits – before a challenge had even begun.

“I came on this course to prove something to myself, and I just realized I don’t have to prove anything,” Manu boldly told the camera shortly after he left.

“I have a damn good life. I have a damn good life, and I want it back,” he added.

Ant had explained the challenge to the recruits just before Manu decided to flee.

It involved the celebrities sitting in a vehicle that was then submerged in the water – forcing the recruits to hold their breath until instructed to swim away.

Decision: 'I came to this course to prove myself, and I just realized I don't have to prove anything,' Manu announced for the camera shortly after he left.

“If you screw this up, we’ll drag your carcasses out of the water and pump the water out of your lungs,” Ant warned.

“Once you get in that vehicle and the supervisors (DS) put on your seat belt, the whole process doesn’t stop. If you panic, you stay under it much longer.’

The warning caused Manu to immediately stand up without hesitation and keep his number for Ant, who stared at him in disbelief.

“You haven’t even tried number six yet, have you? Can you hold your breath?’ he asked.

Heartbreak: Moments later, Manu was seen in a private room during a video call with his wife Clarissa Weerasena and their daughter Charlee, where he burst into tears as he announced that he was coming home

But after clearly making up his mind, Manu simply replied, “I’ll give you my number, staff.”

Moments later, Manu was seen in a private room during a video call with his wife Clarissa Weerasena and their daughter Charlee, where he burst into tears as he announced that he was coming home.

“Listen, I’m done. I don’t need to be here anymore,” he said. ‘I want to go home. I miss you more than this.’

When his wife asked how he was feeling, he simply replied, “I’m fantastic.”
