And Sarah Silverman showed up in good spirits when she took her rescue dog Mary for a walk around her neighborhood in Los Feliz, Los Angeles on Monday.

The stand-up comedian, 50, kept things casual for the outing, wearing ripped-up dungarees and a faded red sports cap.

Sarah wore her dungarees over a white tank top, paired with brown hiking boots and neon yellow socks.

The comic accessorized her understated look with brown sunglasses, a black scarf and a neon yellow wristband.

Sarah showed up in a good mood, snapped a photo on her phone, and had a chat with a man in the park while enjoying the LA sun.

Her outing comes two weeks after she apologized to Paris Hilton for verbally disemboweling at the 2007 MTV Awards, while the socialite sat in the audience trying not to cry.

As a refresher, Hilton should have checked into jail hours after the ceremony for violating her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case and was mocked by Sarah on the show as she sat in the crowd.

Silverman recalled, “While I was thrilled with the success of my monologue, I remember seeing her in the audience, I really do, and I remember seeing that look on her face and my heart sank. There was a person under there. A few days later I wrote her an apologetic letter, felt terrible and never heard back, I certainly wouldn’t expect that. ‘

As it turned out, Hilton never received the letter of apology and held great grudges over the comics’ cruel and heartless jokes for over a decade.

“I didn’t regret the jokes years later, but more or less immediately,” she admitted The Sarah Silverman Podcast‘Here I am, fourteen years later, I tell you, Paris, I’m really sorry. I was then and I am, much more fully and with much more understanding, I think now. ‘

She added: ‘I can’t imagine what you were going through at the time. My understanding of humanity through the lens of my work as a comedian had not yet blended, and I’m sorry I hurt you. Comedy isn’t evergreen. We can’t change the past, so what’s crucial is that we move with the times. ‘

She added: ‘I felt it when I saw your face that night. It feels terrible to know you’ve hurt someone and it’s important to make it right. I hope this does. ‘

In response, Hilton said it means “ a lot ” to her for Sarah to apologize for the heartless jokes during an impromptu episode of hers. This is Paris podcast.

“I was shocked at first when I read it and was pleasantly surprised,” admitted the 39-year-old heiress, after being informed of Silverman’s sad words in an article sent to her by a friend.

And I just want to leave a message for her. To say something back: thank you. I really appreciate you doing that.

“I know it’s hard for anyone to apologize and that really means a lot,” Paris said.
