Sarah Michelle Gellar has sparked feud rumors with her former co-star Jennifer Love Hewitt, thanks to an awkward interview that went viral.
The two actresses starred in the 1997 thriller I Know What You Did Last Summer, in a cast that included Freddie Prinze Jr., who is now married to Sarah.
Their film became a huge hit and spawned two sequels – and now, 27 years later, another installment is currently being filmed in Sydney.
Although Sarah isn’t in the new film, Freddie is, and the couple consequently spent Thanksgiving in Australia with their children Charlotte, 14, and Rocky, 11.
But despite Sarah being well-placed to have a lot of insider knowledge about the film, she awkwardly dodged a question about it this week.
During a red carpet interview, she was asked about the possibility of Jennifer starring in the new film I Know What You Did Last Summer Extra.

Sarah was asked to give her reaction to the names of previous co-stars, and when Jennifer was mentioned, she joked: “I know what your boobs did last summer – because every time you see that movie, it’s just a lot of cleavage.” ‘
She was then asked if she and Jennifer kept in touch, and replied, “I haven’t seen her in a long time.” L.A. is so segregated that unless you live in roughly the same neighborhood and your kids live in roughly the same area, you don’t meet people in the same way.”
Last month, while visiting the set of the upcoming I Know What You Did Last Summer movie, Sarah took a photo of a director’s chair and posted it to Instagram.
Asked about the film in her new interview, she initially spoke highly of the project, exuding, “It’s so good.”
Sarah added that “there are so many great stories, and the way to honor them is to just expand that universe,” while praising the film’s director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson for hiring “an incredible cast” and noting that “the script is so nice.” ‘
