But Sarah Jessica Parker has revealed that she hates being thin and finds it difficult to gain weight.
The 59-year-old said: ‘Many people have to bear their own cross. I don’t like being thin. And if you met my brothers, it’s the same genetic makeup, and I don’t particularly think about or celebrate being thin. I’d rather have weight, but that’s how my body works.’
From January to April, the Sex and the City actress made her West End debut in the two-man show, Plaza Suite, alongside her husband of nearly 30 years, Matthew Broderick.
Speaking to beauty expert Caroline Hirons on her new beauty and skincare based podcast, I’m glad I had this talk.Ms Parker said: “The show was very physical.” Honestly, it was very difficult to keep the weight off, you know.

“But overall I feel better when I do something other than just walking.”
Parker married the Ferris Bueller’s Day Off star, 62, in 1997 after their love of theater brought them together.
They share three children, James Wilke, 21, and twins Marha and Tabitha, 14.
Speaking of her children, Mrs Parker said: “They are flighty, but I feel like that’s quite appropriate for their age.” Mostly they are very nice. I mean, you know, there are times I do the wrong thing, say the wrong thing, upset them, I’m their mother.
And I just don’t think their father has the same opportunity to irritate them.
‘I do the laundry, I tell them this, I make sure they are reminded of that. I’m, you know, charging your phone. I can not leave home. Do this, do that.
Both actors are enthusiastic cooks and Parker has revealed his love for pork or lamb chops.
Speaking about cooking for her children, she said: ‘I mean, it’s a chore sometimes. Sometimes you think, Oh my God, what does everyone want for dinner? I mean, it’s the question we always ask ourselves, but on the other hand, you create a longer time together. Kids love it. They know they are lucky. They always say: I can’t believe they cook for us every night.
