Sarah Ferguson has taken to Instagram to share a series of photos from a trip to Samoa, calling the country “beautiful”.

The ex-wife of Prince Andrew, 64, has shared a series of images over the past two days, in which she tagged some organizations she visited.

Among the groups Sarah, a mother of two, met was the Poutasi Women’s Committee.

Captioning photos from the engagement, the Duchess of York wrote: ‘Beautiful Samoa, thank you for having me!

‘I am very grateful to the Poutasi Women’s Committee who welcomed me with open arms into their village and their church. Being able to experience a beautiful FiaFia @sinaleireefresort and learn about some of the local customs and traditions was an honor.

Some of the images show Sarah with garlands around her neck as she hugs some of the local people she met.

And in a photo from another engagement she is seen dressed in white.

Meanwhile, a series of photos shared a day earlier by the Duchess show her with a flower behind her ear during an appearance on Brown Girl Woke in Samoa.

Captioning the images, Sarah spoke about how they will work together and wrote: ‘ ‘From environmental conservation to honoring indigenous wisdom, the impact these young leaders are having in the South Pacific is truly inspiring.

‘Looking forward to the collaborations between @browngirlwoke and @sarahs_trust_ and seeing what we can achieve TOGETHER!’

According to Brown Girl Woke, it “recruits, trains and mentors college students and young professionals who meet critical community needs in education, public safety, health and the environment.”

“She runs many different programs focused on youth development, arts and music development, and women’s empowerment, to name a few.”

He praised the group, writing in the post’s caption that “from environmental conservation to honoring indigenous wisdom, the impact these young leaders are having in the South Pacific is truly inspiring.”

The posts follow another series of images Sarah shared from Samoa a week ago, following an engagement meeting with an environmental organisation.

Sharing a collection of photos of herself wearing flower leis and meeting various people, Sarah praised the organization in her caption.

She wrote: ‘It’s an honor to attend the launch of Women of Waste in Samoa and learn that plastic pollution is not just an environmental crisis; It is a threat to life itself.

‘Pacific islands, like Samoa, with their unique strengths and vulnerabilities, can be torchbearers for collaborative action towards a planet free of plastic waste.

“What an inspiring morning with these incredible women and young leaders.”
