Sarah Ferguson had a wild night for her “bachelorette party” before she married her ex-husband, Prince Andrew.
The Duchess of York said on Tuesday’s episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show” that she and the late Princess Diana ended up arrested for posing as police officers that night.
“It was extraordinary, because we went to a disco. Of course, you go to a nightclub with the Princess of Wales, and I was still Fergie, she wasn’t married yet,” Ferguson told host Kelly Clarkson, recalling the 1986 outing.
“We went to this nightclub, and she was really cool in her costume,” Ferguson continued. “So we sat down, and the server came up to us and said, ‘Excuse me, this is a members’ club and it’s for fun. And here we don’t serve the police.’”
Ferguson insisted that the waiter believed that she and Diana were real officers and kicked them out of the club.

As they were leaving, Ferguson said they saw a lady getting out of a taxi wearing a dress that Diana also owned. Fergie recounted how Diana broke police character and yelled, ‘She’s got my dress on!’”
“I said, ‘Dutch!’ I called her Dutch. I said: ‘Dutch, no! No, no, you can’t say that. We are meant to be cops.’”
Interestingly, the royal police intervened.
“Then we were arrested. We were arrested by the Park Police, right? So we climbed into the back of the van. And she had put her engagement ring on backwards, and I had put mine on backwards,” Ferguson said of their attempt to hide their identities from her.
“We were sitting in (the van) and (Diana) just looked around and saw a (bag of) smoked bacon flavored potato chips and started picking them up and eating them,” Fergie revealed. “And the cop out front said, ‘You can’t do that!’ And then finally…they realized it was, you know, Diana and me.”
Ferguson said she and Diana “got into a lot of trouble” and shared other amusing anecdotes about her sister-in-law. However, she said that she does not miss Diana, who died in 1997 at the age of 36, because she still feels her presence strongly today.
“I’m with her (and) she’s with me all day,” he explained. “She’s the only one who really… she and I laugh a lot.”
