The 30-year-old actress wore a semi-sheer pale blue shirt with a stylish pair of wide-leg trousers.

She paired her outfit with a large shoulder bag and increased her height with burgundy stilettos.

Saoirse completed her look with very subtle makeup and a pair of silver hoop earrings.

She’s set to take on a starring role in the upcoming drama The Outrun and joined DJ Lauren Laverne to discuss the film.

Saoirse recently admitted that she and husband Jack Lowden had “high expectations” of each other after the pair worked together on their new film.

In The Outrun, she plays Rona, a vulnerable young woman in the early stages of recovery who moves to the Orkney Islands after receiving treatment for alcoholism at a residential rehabilitation facility.

A subject close to her heart, the actress, who admits to seeing the impact of addiction on some of her closest friends, also co-produced the film with her husband Lowden, whom she married in July.

And Saoirse says she enjoyed a strong creative bond with her “comrade” Jack, 34, whom she curiously refers to by his full name.

She told the Sunday morningJack Lowden and I were trying to keep an eye on the portrayal of Rona, how she doesn’t care about anything but alcohol, but also remembering that she’s human, so anyone can see themselves in her.

‘If you find people you love and trust creatively, why wouldn’t you want to continue working with them?’

‘We have very high expectations of each other. When I tried out Rona’s Orkney accent on him for The Outrun, he said, “You’re not going to do that, are you?”

The actress admits she was able to draw on a wealth of experience while preparing for the role, having “been on the receiving end” of the pain and damage caused by addiction.

She said: “I’ve seen people I love change because of addiction. You feel so helpless when you see someone you love, friends my age and one in particular who I have a close relationship with, go through that.

“What will remain engraved in my brain forever is that change, when the gaze becomes glazed and disappears.

“If you become second best to alcohol, you become resentful, so for this role I needed to put aside my own feelings towards him and not get angry about it anymore.”
