Saoirse Ronan looked casual as she visited shops in London on Saturday morning.
The actress, 30, donned a knee-length black coat for the outing which she wore over a white jumper and a pair of blue jeans.
She paired her relaxed look with a pair of brown boots and carried a clutch to hold her belongings.
The star completed her look with a chunky knit white scarf, gold hoop earrings and gold rings.
Saoirse seemed deep in thought as she walked to the supermarket, engrossed in her phone.

She was later seen with a package of spaghetti and a jar of sauce, which she added to her purse.
It comes after the actress broke her silence over the “wild” reaction to her awkward exchange with Paul Mescal on The Graham Norton Show last week.
The actress lit up social media during an appearance on the show when she made a comment about gender-based violence while sitting next to an all-male panel consisting of Paul, Denzel Washington and Eddie Redmayne.
But speaking to Ryan Tubridy on Virgin Radio UK, Saoirse admitted the reaction was “not something I expected”, before “urging more women to speak out”.
She said: ‘The reaction has been wild. It’s definitely not something I expected, and I didn’t necessarily set out to make a splash.
“But I do think there’s something really telling about the society we’re in now and how open women want to be with the men in their lives.
“Many men and women I know from around the world have contacted me about this comment and again I urge people to please, please, see this in context.”
‘Please watch the whole interview or watch at least that part of the conversation, because it wasn’t really about… the guys weren’t discrediting anything I was saying.

But at the same time, it felt very similar to when I’m having dinner with a group of friends and I will always make it clear that, well, this is actually an experience that we go through every day, 100%.
“Paul is one of my dear friends, I’ve had conversations like that with him before and he completely understands, but I think the fact that there was a moment like that that happened on a show like Graham Norton, which is something that everyone the country channels and sees, and even overseas, it’s something that people tune into, it seems to have had an accessibility to it that really seems to have gained traction, which I think is amazing.
“It’s opening up a conversation and again, hopefully, allowing more and more women to say, well, yeah, actually, let’s talk about our experience.”
“Last night I met a woman who is working on Blitz and she told me that, you know, it’s really interesting. After watching that interview, some of my friends and I were with my husband and we said, you know, this really reminds me of the fake phone call.
‘And your husband made, what, a fake phone call? What do you mean? And of course, you wouldn’t understand it if you hadn’t had to go through something like that.
“But she somehow, throughout her life as a woman, has acquired these tools without even talking to other women about it and understanding that it’s kind of a survival tactic.

Paul and Saoirse are good friends and, speaking to Ryan Tubridy on Virgin Radio UK, Saoirse Ronan admitted the reaction was “not something she expected”.
“And we’ve all subconsciously found the same tools and used them over and over again, and I find that really interesting.”
Saoirse sparked a viral frenzy when she made a joke about self-defence alongside the all-male panel of guests, minutes earlier appearing to shut Paul down for laughing while speaking to Graham.
During the interview with Graham Norton, Eddie, 42, explained that during his training for The Day of the Jackal, an upcoming Peacock miniseries, he received instructions on how to use a phone to retaliate in the event of an attack.
Then Paul joked: ‘Who’s really going to think about that? “If someone really attacked me, I’m not going to make a phone call.”
Graham mimed holding a phone to defend himself against an attacker and said, “Can you wait a second?” to which Eddie said, “That’s a very good point.”
After being commented on in the chat, Saoirse finally found a moment to speak and declared, “That’s what girls have to think about all the time.”
The brutally honest comment prompted a moment of silence from the panel.
‘Am I right, ladies?’ He then asked the crowd, drawing huge applause from the studio audience.
