Sandra Bullock admits she’s ‘too tired’ as she opens up about turning 60 during a rare appearance a year after the death of her partner Bryan Randall

Hollywood actress Sandra Bullock delighted fans on Monday morning when she made a surprise television appearance and spoke about turning 60 just a year after the death of her partner, Bryan Randall.

The Speed ​​actress, who celebrated her 60th birthday on July 26, appeared on the Today show after recording a special video message for her good friend and host Hoda Kotb, who celebrated her own 60th birthday on August 9.

Bullock, who sadly lost her partner Bryan to ALS on August 5 last year, admitted she was feeling “really tired” but also described her new decade as “pretty great” as she spoke directly to the camera from her luxury Los Angeles home.

She began her message: ‘Hoda, Hoda, Hoda, Hoda… I had so many bright and fun things planned for you, for this message, that you would just blow it away, but you know what girl, I’m just too tired!

“Tired because I had to climb that mountain before you got here so I could check out the terrain and see what things look like and just get an idea so I can report back to you.”

Bullock continued: “And it’s weird, because people seem to want us to be afraid of what it’s all going to look like when we get there. It turns out it’s pretty cool, it’s pretty amazing.”

He then went on to use one particular word multiple times that was censored: “And for (muted) like you, can we say (muted) in the morning? Because I know you can say it in the afternoon, right? You can definitely say it at night and on streaming, but (muted) I know you can’t say that.”

Kotb and her co-host, Jenna Bush Hager, couldn’t stop laughing as Sandra continued, “But when you get to the top of the mountain where you’re getting ready to go, you can just say it because it doesn’t matter anymore, everything is amazing because you’ve made it that way.

“Thank you for being so amazing to so many people. What you do for a living and how you have to shapeshift every day, how you manage your kindness even when it’s not what you expect, how you are with the people you care about and how you keep them safe, and just who you are as a human being.”

She then added: “We are all so lucky to have you, especially your kids. So happy birthday my sweet friend. Thank you for allowing me to be in your circle, I feel so grateful and I have your bar set up up here, so we can take in the view, it’s so beautiful, but I need you up here, happy birthday,” before blowing her a kiss.

When Kotb’s livestream from the Plaza returned to the big screen, the mother of two commented, “Wow, that’s really too much, that’s really too much,” and Bush Hager responded, “I know, but don’t you love what she said about navigating the terrain and how beautiful it looks?”

Kotb later recalled, ‘And the reason I have Haley and Hope is because when I was looking for inspiration from someone who was a mother at my age, Sandra Bullock came along and I called her and I said, “Tell me about motherhood,” and she said, “It’s the best decision I’ve ever made,” and from that point on, she paved the way for me to these two,’ referring to her two daughters, who were in the audience.

Bullock is the mother of two children, Louis, 14, and Laila, 11, whom she adopted in 2010 and 2015 respectively.

Bullock dated Randall from 2015 until his death at age 57 in August 2023; the actress called him “the love of my life.”
