A large group of San Francisco 49ers fans got into a fight in the stands of Levi's Stadium

In an odd analogy for how the San Francisco 49ers season has gone compared to expectations, several of the team’s fans brawled with each other in the stands of Levi’s Stadium during Thursday night’s loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

It is unclear what started the fight, nor is it clear when it occurred during the game in Santa Clara.

The video begins with several fights happening at once, with one of the two scuffles seeing a man in black in a poncho throwing haymakers at another fan crouched over a row of chairs.

The person who takes those huge hits stands up and looks hurt, but not too bad for the wear.

The other battles, involving at least five people, are still in melee mode when the other half split up.

Fans in a red Patrick Willis jersey and black Deebo Samuel gear are connected and need a few other fighters to be separated.

A female fan stabs herself and starts pushing on the Willis jersey-wearing supporter’s head.

When the woman’s attempt to break the man’s neck is over, a third fight is already underway.

Several fans a few rows away have started exchanging punches with the man in the poncho who was back in the action.

Throughout the video, fans around the fights can be heard yelling at anyone throwing punches to stop, but to no avail.

Stadium security also doesn’t appear once in the entire video.

The 49ers are 6-8 with three games remaining in the regular season after taking last season’s Super Bowl to overtime.

San Francisco could be mathematically eliminated from postseason contention this weekend, a far cry from where the franchise stood on the brink of a title 10 months ago. And 49ers fans in the stands seem extremely frustrated.
