Last night’s preseason game between the New Jersey Devils and the Philadelphia Flyers was action-packed.
The Devils’ Samuel Laberge and the Flyers’ Sawyer Boulton dropped the gloves not once but twice in one game after a very scary moment at the first tilt.
Sawyer is the son of Eric Boulton, who played for the Devils in 2011-12. Fortunately, he was fine and returned to the game after heading to the locker room.
In the second half, Boulton and Laberge decided to drop the gloves once again; This time it ended with Laberge falling first.
With the Devils main roster playing tomorrow in the NHL Global Series in Prague against the Buffalo Sabres. The lineup that has been playing the last few preseason games is more of the AHL Utica Comets lineup.
If Boulton is sent to the AHL, the Utica versus Lehigh Valley Phantoms games will be much more interesting with what appears to be a rivalry of sorts between these two.
