Gadget makers are gathering to create smart speakers.
Samsung has already revealed plans for a Bixby broadcaster to take Apple's HomePod, Amazon's Echo and Google's Home.
The Apple speaker will have a higher price than the Amazon Echo range, which starts at $ 49 (£ 49) for the Echo Dot.
The speaker will provide a center for the devices through Apple's HomeKit system and will set up a center within the home to lock people into using other Apple services, according to the report.
A speaker can help clients stay true to other services such as Apple Music, Apple Watch, Apple TV and AirPods.
The $ 130 loudspeaker (£ 105) is activated with the phrase & # 39; Hey Google & # 39 ;, while the Amazon echo uses & # 39; Alexa & # 39 ;.
Echo Dot, from Amazon, for $ 50 (£ 40), places the company's smart speaker in a small package
Amazon's smart speaker is available in two versions: the full-size Eco of $ 180 (£ 145) shown here, and a smaller version of $ 50 (£ 40) called Echo Dot.
Amazon Echo uses Microsoft's Bing search engine to provide additional information, while Google Home uses the company's own Google Search.
Both Home and Echo are continuously listening to commands, although Google and Amazon say that nothing is returned to them until the speakers hear a keyword: OK, Google & # 39; for Home and & # 39; Alexa & # 39; for Echo.
Google Home Mini: The $ 49 (£ 34) smart donut full of Google technology can do almost everything your biggest voice control can do, which includes answering questions and controlling third-party devices.
Google Assistant software can also answer follow-up questions on the same subject, in a style close to the conversation, but Echo still can not.
However, Amazon's Alexa software offers a wider range of skills that allow you to connect and control more third-party devices in the home.
A light is lit to remind you that you are listening.
You can also turn off the microphone temporarily.
