In what seems to be a strange accident, users of Galaxy phones worldwide have received a mysterious message from the Find My Mobile app from Samsung. The warning, that report different users, simply reads “1” with another “1” below.
Our own executive editor Dieter Bohn received the report on his Galaxy Z Flip, which he is currently testing for review. Tapping the notification seems to do nothing but close the notification shadow.
Huh. Girlfriend and I had just the same push notification from Samsung: her Note 10+ and my Galaxy Z Flip each warned with a Find My Mobile message. When tapped, it disappeared. Different Samsung accounts on every phone.

Samsung is not the first company to send bizarre notifications to a wide audience. Last year, OnePlus accidentally blew up its users with illegible text and Chinese characters in a failed internal test for a software update.
The edge has contacted Samsung for more information about what is behind the mystery alert of today.
