A bullet was delivered a month ago. Now, after just 30 days, Sampdoria has woken up to further harassment.
According to Corriere dello Sportdeath threats and a pig’s head were delivered to the club’s headquarters.
A cardboard box was found in front of the club’s base, located in Corte Lambruschini, but instead of the expected food package, the club shockingly found a severed pig’s head.
And with that came a deeply disturbing message to owner Massimo Ferrero and attorney and current board member Antonio Romei, stating, “The next heads will be yours.”
Italian police were immediately on the scene and both the Carabinieri – national police – and DIGOS – a law enforcement group in charge of terrorism cases – have launched an investigation.

However, the identities of those involved are not yet known.
The Italian publication also reports that an explosives squad was present at the club’s headquarters to open the package.
Less than a month ago, the club received a threatening letter at the same location accompanied by a blank bullet.
And the bullet was also accompanied by another macabre note, reading: ‘This time it’s blank, the next one will be true.’
Tensions are running high in the Ligurian capital and fans are increasingly frustrated with the club.

Ferrero stepped down as club president in 2021 after allegations unrelated to the squad
Sampdoria is looking for a new owner after Ferrero stepped down as president in 2021 following allegations unrelated to the club that he had owned the club for eight years.
But the sale process – which Ferrero wants to capitalize on – is taking longer than expected, and the owner revealed he has taken four bullets in three years, with anger against the club apparently mounting.
An anonymous letter received by the club contained threats to former president Edoardo Garrone, who sold the club to Ferrero.
And on the pitch, the club has endured a torrid time in Serie A, finishing 19th in Italy’s top flight, eight points out of safety with just two wins in 23 appearances.
