Samantha Armytage offers to ADOPT Johnny Depp’s dogs Pistol and Boo – after the actor jokingly threatened to microwave one and admitted the other nibbled hashish
Australian breakfast TV presenter Samantha Armytage has offered to adopt the dogs of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, Pistol and Boo, after shocking allegations of how they were treated by one of their A-list owners.
On Wednesday, Hollywood star Depp, 57, and his ex-wife Heard, 32, appeared in court for the second day of his libel case against News Group Newspapers.
While questioning, Depp made claims that he had threatened to microwave Pistol, but insisted it was a “joke” and nothing more.
He also admitted that Boo had previously nibbled his stock of hashish, but denied hanging Pistol from a car window.
After reporting on the Thursday edition hearing of Sunrise, Samantha said, “Gun and Boe, haven’t they been through much in their lives?”
Her co-host David ‘Kochie’ Koch ‘added:’ Oh my god, that’s in danger of being microwaved. Then nibble on drugs! ‘

In April 2015, Heard flew the dogs to Australia in a private jet without reporting them to customs.
Depp filmed the latest episode of Pirates of the Caribbean series at the time.
Authorities did not become aware of Pistol and Boo’s presence until their visit to a Gold Coast dog grooming salon was made public on Facebook.

The incident triggered worldwide headlines when Secretary of Agriculture and Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce said the dogs were better off ‘trudging’ to the U.S. or he would have them killed.
The dogs were quickly evicted before a 72-hour deadline passed when the canines were to be confiscated.
Heard was charged with violating Australian customs laws, but those charges were later dropped after she and Depp issued a bizarre video apology.
Depp has never been charged with the incident.
