Samantha Armytage covered her gray hair in a blonde dye job at home during lockdown after she drove fans mad by posting a photo of herself with ‘white hair’
Earlier this month, she admitted in a candid Instagram post that she’s going gray.
But Samantha Armytage isn’t going down without a fight, with the 44-year-old revealing she’d been doing hair dye at home on Tuesday, during the ongoing lockdown in New South Wales.
The former Sunrise co-host currently lives in the Southern Highlands area, where all hair salons have been closed since August 14.

Armytage’s Instagram Stories showed her how she prepared for the beauty routine, as well as the results.
She thanked stylist Amanda Holmes for her new blonde locks in the captions of the posts.
The touch-up comes after Samantha sent fans into a frenzy after she appeared to be embracing a gray look in an Instagram photo from June.
She later spoke of the resulting uproar in a column for: Zodiac sign, in which the former TV star confirmed that she had indeed used a filter on the photo in question, before calling the response “absurd.”

“What happened next surprised even me,” she wrote, referring to the photo that went viral and received a lot of media attention.
She then praised Andie MacDowell for her “brave” choice to embrace her natural gray curls on the Cannes red carpet last month.
“How brave it is these days when a woman in public has a real wrinkle pierced, or even some gray ones,” wrote Samantha.

The former breakfast TV host had previously admitted that she “still pays my beautiful hairdresser a fortune to make me blonde.”
