Sam Thompson and his girlfriend Zara McDermott are reportedly having “relationship crisis conversations.”
The I’m A Celebrity winner, 31, was pictured crying at the TRIC Awards earlier this week and had to be comforted by his best friend Pete Wicks, 36.
Now, sources say Sam’s grief was caused by a ‘vicious row’ with Zara, 27, which forced her to pack her bags last weekend and leave the home they share in London.
A source close to the couple revealed to Sun Now they are trying to fix things.
The source said: “Since Christmas, Zara and Sam have been very busy with work and have had little time to see each other and as a result their relationship has suffered.”
‘They both wanted to make the most of their careers and say yes to all the exciting opportunities on offer.

Sources say Sam’s grief was caused by a “burning row” with Zara, 27, which saw her pack her bags last weekend and leave the home they share in London.
It also comes just weeks after Sam was caught in a similarly dramatic conversation with his girlfriend (pictured).
“Last weekend, things came to a head and they had a huge fight. It was very upsetting and they needed some time to calm things down.”
According to the publication, Zara moved in with her parents in Essex before taking up a modelling job in Mallorca.
The Love Island star proceeded to post a cryptic message about staying positive as she quoted: ‘When life gives you lemons’ alongside a photo of herself posing in a mini dress.
He is now back in Britain and the couple are believed to be trying to save their relationship.
The source also added that he returned home to try to “resolve their differences.”

This comes after Pete comforted Sam when she broke down in emotional tears while attending the TRIC Awards on Tuesday night.

The pair had been pictured together at the Soccer Aid after-party, where they appeared to engage in a heated exchange.
However, Zara took to Instagram the following day to address the images, saying she was giving the reality star “positive affirmations” after they appeared to be arguing.
She wrote: ‘Why did this make me laugh so much btw? (laughing emojis)’ Stop saying you should have scored!!!! You did your best and that’s all that matters!! ‘You have to stop doubting yourself!!!’
“It seems like we’re arguing, but I’m actually telling him positive affirmations in a very passionate way.”
Zara looked frustrated as she visibly waved her arms while deep in a tense conversation, but she has now confirmed that it was just an incredibly passionate conversation.
Earlier in the day, his girlfriend Zara cheered the TV star on as he helped England to a 6-3 win against the World XI in the charity match.
The couple have been dating for four years after the Love Island star ‘slid into her DMs’.
In 2020 they briefly split after he found out she had cheated on him with a colleague while appearing on X Factor: Celebrity, before rekindling their romance with scenes on Made In Chelsea.
