Football superstar Sam Kerr has posted photos on social media showing her and fiancée Kristie Mewis back at their London home, in a telling sign that her grandmother is recovering after being hit by a car in Perth.
Kerr, 31 years old, took to Instagram to post a story which featured Mewis and the couple’s cat.
One photo had the caption “the girls are back together,” and the second image featured the words “and we’re back together.”
The development comes after Coral Kerr, 89, had to be rushed to hospital when she was knocked down while getting off a bus in the south-west Perth suburb of Palmyra on December 27.
A 63-year-old man allegedly mounted the pavement in an attempt to overtake the bus before hitting Kerr with his ute.
The man has since been charged with one count of dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm and will appear in Western Australia’s Fremantle Magistrates Court on February 4.

At the time of the alleged incident, Sam Kerr and his father Roger were at the picturesque Krinklewood Estate winery in New South Wales’ Hunter Valley, attending the wedding of his Matildas teammate Emily Van Egmond to partner Kat Thompson. .
It is understood that Sam and his father learned of the tragedy while at the reception and Roger was hastily arranging a flight back to Perth to be at his mother’s hospital bed.
Images from the Palmyra scene show the van with extensive damage to the bonnet after the vehicle collided with a power pole before striking Ms Kerr.
Coral residents and bus passengers who witnessed the accident rushed to her side to help her as she lay on the grass next to the path.
“She wasn’t really very responsive, she was very sweaty and wet…I think she was obviously in shock,” neighbor Mary Ivey told 9News.
Witnesses alleged that a number of cars lined up behind the bus and the driver attempted to overtake it by driving on the sidewalk.
Coral Kerr’s condition is said to be serious but stable as her recovery continues.
The ute allegedly drove down the footpath in an attempt to overtake the bus and collided with a power pole before hitting Coral Kerr.

At the time of the alleged incident, Kerr’s long-time Matildas teammate Emily Van Egmond (left) was all smiles after marrying teammate Kat Thompson (right).
It is unknown if she has been released from the hospital.
Chelsea striker Kerr, 31, and her partner, West Ham midfielder Kristie Mewis, 33, spent time with Kerr’s family over the Christmas holidays.
The couple announced in November that they were expecting a baby and flew to Australia for the holiday season.
The Chelsea star is currently recovering from an ACL injury that could keep her out of action until March.
