Australian Matildas star Samantha Kerr and her fiancé Kristie Mewis have shared the first baby bump image as the couple begin their journey to becoming parents for the first time.
The couple set social media alight last week when they announced the news that Mewis was pregnant with their first child, revealing a set of images including the scan result in a UK photo booth.
Kerr and Mewis have been a glamorous sports couple since they began their relationship during the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, where they were seen together on the court after a match between Australia and the United States.
They publicly confirmed their relationship in August 2021 through an Instagram post.
In November 2023, the couple announced their engagement and in December 2023, Mewis signed with West Ham United and moved to London to be closer to Kerr.
Mewis has now shared pictures of her baby bump with her parents in the city to help congratulate the couple, with an Instagram post she captioned: “Some things you guys missed.”

Mewis also revealed her pregnancy to her parents, Robert and Melissa, who had come to visit.
In a video shared with the publication, Mewis made the announcement to her parents, Robert and Melissa.
She gave them both gifts which they opened to reveal baby clothes, as their mother gasped, “Are you pregnant?”
“You’re kidding,” he said in shock as he hugged Mewis.
“That was kind of quick.”
It was a touching moment that the couple’s fans loved watching them share.
‘That reaction from your parents is everything. I wish the world had more people like them. Congratulations.’ one published.
‘What beautiful photos and the video is adorable. You look radiant Kristie, congratulations to you and Sam. “I’m very happy for both of them,” added another.
‘You have wonderful parents, their reaction to pregnancy is something beautiful and incredibly valuable, it is respect, love, support, friendship, you have wonderful parents,’ said another.
The post also received likes and comments from a host of Matildas and other football stars, including Mackenzie Arnold and Caitlin Foord.
Kerr has been recovering from a torn ACL suffered earlier this year and is on track to return to the field for both Chelsea and the Matildas in the new year.
