Sam Frost seen in public for the first time in months as she celebrates her son Ted’s first birthday on the beach, after revealing why she stepped away from the spotlight.

Sam Frost and his fiancé Jordie Hansen were seen celebrating their son Ted’s first birthday by surfing on the Sunshine Coast on Thursday.

It was the first time the Home and Away star was seen in public in months, after revealing that she stepped away from social media for several weeks to focus “on the people she loves most”: her family.

During the outing, Sam was every inch the doting mother, cuddling her sweet little son as they strolled along the sand.

The 34-year-old sported an oversized gray t-shirt and showed off her toned legs in a pair of skimpy shorts.

She wore her hair up in a bun and accessorized the look with a pair of stylish sunglasses.

Jordie went shirtless and showed off his bulging biceps while taking his one-year-old son surfing on the Sunshine Coast.

The day looked to be a perfect mix of relaxation and fun as the family made the most of their sunny seaside outing.

At one point, the actress took photos of her partner and their toddler, who were sporting a life jacket while sitting in the sea.

The couple welcomed their first child, Ted, on March 7, 2023.

In August the actress revealed that pregnancy was not easy for her.

“To be honest, I’ve surprised myself,” she told Confidential on Nova radio, talking about what parenting has been like for her since the baby arrived.

“I found pregnancy very difficult and I thought maybe it was a reflection of what will happen in the future, but to be honest, I’m actually a little more relaxed than I thought.”

She added that her newborn was “honestly fantastic” and that she was enjoying new motherhood.

“Honestly, he’s a dream baby, he’s so happy, he’s so calm, he laughs all the time and thinks I’m the best person ever,” she said.

“He loves my performances, I perform for him constantly and he thinks it’s great.”

Sam and Jordie announced their engagement on July 7, 2022.
