Sam Frost looked strikingly different when he made a TV appearance where he poignantly advised his younger self not to say “everything” on his mind.

The actress, 35, left Home And Away at the end of 2021 after facing backlash for a controversial Instagram video about her reluctance to receive the Covid-19 vaccine.

Since then, he has embarked on new television projects and appeared on Wednesday’s The Morning Show to promote his new Jordie family series, Sam & Ted’s Adventures.

On the chat show, Sam, who is married to Jordie Hansen, looked almost unrecognizable as she ditched her signature blonde hair for a brunette look.

The former reality TV star cut a chic figure in an off-white jumper as she showed off her shoulder-length chocolate locks, styled in loose curls around her face.

Sam was known for her longer blonde hairstyle during her time as Jasmine Delaney on Home And Away from 2017 to 2021.

Speaking to hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies, Sam also reflected on his decade-long television career since he rose to fame on The Bachelor Australia in 2014.

She was asked if she had any advice for her younger self while talking about her reality TV days, to which she said she would tell him not to “say everything” he thinks.

Sam shared: ‘Yeah, you know, you don’t have to say everything you think. Sometimes. You know, I have a little more filter, friend.

He sparked a backlash when he revealed he had not received the Covid vaccine and compared restrictions on the unvaccinated to “segregation”.

She said in a tearful Instagram video: “I was really hesitant about making a video or even talking about this kind of stuff, but I feel like we’re getting to a point in the world where there’s a lot of segregation.”

“There are a lot of judgments and harsh opinions that are expressed a lot and they are certainly taking a toll on my mental health, and I know that people around me are struggling, especially if they are on the side of not wanting to get vaccinated, for whatever reason.

“There are many different reasons why people don’t get vaccinated and it may be because of their medical history, their concerns, they may have a family history or it may be religious reasons.”

Seven Productions had a policy requiring all cast and crew to be vaccinated against Covid, but sources said at the time that Sam’s departure was not related to the mandate.

After facing criticism for his video, Sam temporarily deactivated his main Instagram account and blocked comments on his mental health charity Believe’s account.

Sam, who has since been fully vaccinated, made the decision to leave Home And Away just a few months later and later reflected on the difficult time.

In April, Sam told the Life Uncut podcast that he was struggling with his mental health and that a lot of “horrible” things were happening in his private life at the time.

“That was a terrible year. A lot of things happened in my family life and a lot of things happened in my private life. It was a really disgusting time. “I don’t think anyone was okay during COVID,” Sam said.

“When I made the video about it, if you actually look at the video, it was about mental health and it was about me saying ‘no one is okay right now’ and regardless of what you think about these vaccines, everyone is struggling and you need to be compassionate and have empathy towards people who may think differently towards you.’

Sam said the situation became “more complicated and uglier” than she intended as she reflected on the backlash to the video.

“I ended up saying ‘oh man, I need to go home and be with my family’ and that’s when I made the decision to leave Home and Away,” he added.

Sam previously spoke about how she felt unvaccinated people were being “bullied” and insisted she was never “anti-vaxxer”, saying she only had “good intentions”.

‘The harassment of unvaccinated people was disgusting. Friends I’d had for years stopped talking to me,” Sam previously told Stellar Magazine.

“I never said I didn’t want to get it. I’m not an anti-vaxxer, are you kidding me? But I think it’s quite unreasonable to assume that everyone is going to think exactly the same way and that people are going to come to exactly the same conclusion in the same period of time.’

“They tore me to pieces. “He was someone in a very vulnerable position talking about his struggles with mental health,” she added.
