A man has died in a tragic workplace incident after reportedly becoming trapped in a silo.

Emergency services, including paramedics, police and Shire Fire Service crews, were called to a property at Salt Creek in South Australia’s south-east at about 4.15pm on Friday.

The city is about 210 kilometres southeast of Adelaide.

“A 63-year-old Salt Creek man died at the scene,” police said Friday night.

SafeWork SA is currently visiting the site and will conduct an investigation.

The police will prepare a report for the coroner.
