The live auction, which raised $3 million last year for victims of gender-based violence, is presented by the Kering Foundation headed by the Oscar nominee’s husband of 15 years, Kering CEO François-Henri Pinault.
The 62-year-old French billionaire said in a statement last Thursday: “For women and children to be free to develop their potential without the burdens of fear, threat and trauma, it is critical that we address violence at its roots to change behavior and heal our collective culture.”
Kering is a multinational corporation that owns the luxury fashion brands Gucci, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Yves Saint Laurent and Alexander McQueen.
