A woman who helped put out a massive fire cited an infamous meme to describe the terrifying moment she saw her house engulfed in flames.
The fire broke out at the single-storey house on Oronga Street in Salisbury North, north-east Adelaide, at around 11.20am on Monday.
Emergency services rushed to the scene to tackle the massive blaze that engulfed the house as thick plumes of smoke rose from the property.
Neighbors tried to contain the fire before firefighters arrived, using garden hoses to try to extinguish the huge flames.
Neighbor Chloe Daprile referenced a famous meme when recalling the fire.
“I said, ‘Lord Jesus, it was a huge fire,'” Ms. Daprile said. 7News.
The phrase “Oh Lord Jesus, it’s a fire” went viral after a woman in the United States known as ‘Sweet Brown’ fled an apartment fire in Oklahoma in April 2012.
Ms Brown, whose real name is Kimberly Wilkins, made several viral statements describing the moment she managed to escape the building.
Neighbor Chloe Daprile (pictured) used the infamous meme to recount the horrific moment the flames began to spread rapidly.
The phrase quickly went viral and became a widespread meme after appearing in dozens of funny videos online.
Ms Daprile said she prevented the owner from re-entering the property.
“I couldn’t let her in there so I ran after her and grabbed her,” he said.
Dozens of firefighters managed to extinguish the fire in 20 minutes.
A SAPOL spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia that no one was injured and the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
A Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS) spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia the blaze was caused by “inappropriate cooking behaviour”.
Structural damage to the home is estimated to be around $300,000.

Ms Daprile said the incident was “traumatic” and she cried when the house was completely destroyed.
“I thought, what if that was my house? She (the owner of the house) was yelling and screaming… it was a lot,” he recalled.
“I’m glad that as a community everyone was able to come together and help her.”
The woman who lived in the house is understood to be living with friends and family until she finds another place to live.
