Sacha reportedly performed in two comedy shows on Saturday nights, with each set lasting 20 minutes.

An audience member said everyone had to put their phones in “sealed bags” before Sacha took the stage – presumably to prevent the performance from leaking online.

‘[Sacha] had everyone down,” said the spectator.

Ali G was the comedic persona that launched Sacha towards stardom.

The satirical character debuted in the late 1990s on the British TV show The 11 O’Clock Show, and later appeared in the eponymous spin-off Da Ali G Show in 2000.

Sacha reprized his iconic role in the film Ali G Indahouse in 2002.

Ali G, a youth television employee and wannabe rapper from Staines, was known for his celebrity spoof interviews, in which he asked inappropriate and often ridiculous questions.

He asked astronaut Buzz Aldrin what it was like to ‘walk on the sun’, and asked British Socialist MP Tony Benn whether to strike was the same as ‘pulling a sick’.

The sassy comedian even asked Professor Sue Leece, director of the Center for Gender Research, if another woman could “slip through” and become Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
