Sabrina Carpenter says Barry Keoghan’s acting talent landed him a role in one of the music videos, not just his relationship status.

The Please, Please, Please singer, 25, who released the steamy video in June, said C.B.S. Sunday that when she cast her boyfriend as the bad male lead, she relied on his “unbiased opinion.”

“I, genuinely, as a not even biased opinion, thought, ‘Who is the best actor I can find for this music video?’ And he was next to me in a chair,” she recalled.

“And I was very excited about it,” he said of the 31-year-old Oscar winner’s reaction.

The single, which is the second from his hit album Short n’ Sweet, is speculated to contain cheeky references to The Batman star.

When asked if the father-of-one is a fan of the album and the rest of her discography, the singer gushed that he liked it “a lot.”

‘He likes the song, which is great. “He’s a fan of the song,” the singer shared, adding that “he really likes my music, yes.”

The couple were first linked in the summer of 2023, but opted to keep their relationship private before making waves with the music video.

In August, the Don’t Smile singer gushed about her man’s talent, calling him “one of the best actors of this generation.”

She told Variety: “I don’t want to sound biased, but I think he’s one of the best actors of this generation.”

“So seeing it on the screen with my song as the soundtrack made the video better and even more special.”

Days later, he told The Guardian that getting close to the Saltburn star in the video was “one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.”

“I feel very honored to be able to work with such a great actor,” she told the outlet.

Sabrina explained that she is cautious about keeping her relationship private, but understands that publicity is the price of fame.

“It’s not what I signed up for, but I can’t really help when I was born,” he said.

“I want to be honest: I just want to write about what’s happening in my life when I’m 25,” she added.

‘But it comes with the territory and I just have to say… it’s okay!’ he added.
