Despite being part of one of the UK’s biggest bands in the early 2000s, Jo’s first solo album didn’t reach number 48 on the charts until it debuted in 2005.

The singer took a break from the limelight after being at the center of Celebrity Big Brother racing with Jade Goody and Danielle Lloyd in 2007, when the trio was accused of racial slurs and bullying towards fellow contestant Shilpa Shetty.

However, Jo has now returned to the music scene with her first solo effort, and the star also discussed recording a cover of S Club 7’s hit Don’t Stop Movin’ for NHS staff during the Covid lockdown.

She explained: “On a Thursday we went out and clapped, when I came in I pulled out the old karaoke and played a few songs. I made sure they would make their requests and I sang as much as I could to cheer them up a bit.

“It was the 20th anniversary of the song Don’t Stop Moving and I’ve always wanted to take a classic S Club song and give it a completely different spin… I’m really glad I did because everyone seems to really enjoy it. It’s nice that it’s on the album, because it’s a little nod to where I’m from.’
