At Sunday night’s TV Baftas, Rob, best known as the formidable judge Rinder on his ITV reality show, admitted he has developed a deep bond with Rylan, describing him as the “real deal” but insisted they are not in a romantic relationship.

‘We are not a couple. It’s what Rylan said, we’re like a very old married couple, we row, we laugh together and we don’t have sex,’ she stated.

But the couple, who forged their friendship after sharing a divorce lawyer, certainly bonded during some scenes on the travel show as they opened up to each other.

Rob then talked about his own divorce and started to get emotional too. He and her ex-husband, attorney Seth Cumming, divorced in 2018.

He said: ‘I was once very in love when I was in my early twenties, but it wasn’t reciprocated. And it never has been.

Rylan comforted his co-star as they sought solace in their shared life experiences.

He said, ‘You know what, Rob? We were here once and we’ve been through a lot.

‘What did he teach us? Nothing lasts forever unless it’s right,” as Rob wiped away tears.

Rylan later said that he is absolutely determined to move forward: ‘This journey for me is part of my restart in life.

“I’m 34 years old and I’m young enough to start over when it comes to my personal life.”
