In 2007, it was Ryan’s decision to film a Kardashian-Jenner family reunion that helped launch the hugely influential reality series.

Jenner originally brought the idea for the series about her family to Seacrest in 2006.

Inspired by the success of reality hits such as The Osbournes and The Simple Life, Ryan brought in a camera crew to capture an evening with the blended family, and the tapes inspired E! to give the series the green light.

Adding to their fame and notoriety was Kim’s 2002 sex tape with her then-boyfriend Ray J, which leaked in early 2007.

Seacrest previously executive produced the series along with mother Kris and her three daughters with Robert Kardashian.
