Longtime friends Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have learned to “trust each other” as they navigate the ups and downs of Hollywood.
The artists, who appear in July’s Deadpool & Wolverine, have been close friends for several years and are well known for their long-running fake feud.

Reynolds, 47, compared their connection to a marriage: “I think the secret ingredient to a lasting friendship in Hollywood is not much different than having a partner or a marriage.”
He then mentioned his marriage to siren Blake Lively, with whom he shares four children.
Ryan added, “I’m really rooting for you, all the time.” I want you to win. It’s the same way I feel about Blake. While I support her, I know she supports me, and that’s why we are so connected.”

The Free Guy star went on to talk about how his first meeting with Jackman immediately eased his tensions about working with the high-profile actor on the 2009 film X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
He recalled: ‘Just the fact that you knew my name meant a lot to me. And you came and gave me a big hug and said, “Welcome aboard.”
Jackman then talked about how he considered Reynolds one of his closest friends and talked about how they had come to completely trust each other over the years.
He said: “There are probably fewer friends in our life that you can say anything to, the things you’re ashamed of, whatever.”
“You can tell me anything and I can tell you anything, and I don’t feel like you’re going to judge me or necessarily give me the answer,” she added.
Reynolds and Jackman will reprise their roles as Wade Wilson and James ‘Logan’ Howlett, respectively, in Deadpool & Wolverine.
The feature focuses on the eponymous mercenary as he encounters the former X-Men member during a universe-altering mission.
In addition to the actors, the film’s cast includes Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin and Leslie Uggams.

Although Jackman planned to stop playing Wolverine after the release of 2019’s Logan, he changed his mind during the development process of the next film.
Physical production on the film began in March of last year, although it was delayed by the start of the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike.
The cast and crew of the upcoming film finally reunited and wrapped last July.
Currently, Deadpool & Wolverine will debut on July 26.
