Ryan Reynolds has declared England are “coming home” ahead of Sunday’s Euro 2020 final.
The 47-year-old actor was on the promotional tour for his upcoming co-starring Hugh Jackman, Deadpool & Wolverine, when he was asked about the fight.
At the film’s London preview, Ryan, co-owner of Welsh football club Wrexham, was asked about England’s chances in the final.
“I think England have what it takes, I really do,” he said, adding: “1966 was the last year. Come on, this is the time. We have to go home.”
Meanwhile, Hugh made a prediction for Sunday’s final against Spain, declaring: “Harry Kane is scoring a hat-trick.”

Ryan expressed his hopes for England when he said: ‘I don’t claim to be a football expert even though I have very close links with Wrexham.
“All my ulcers are from Wrexham, but I love it. I love the part that tells the story.”
The pair also appeared on The One Show, where they were asked about Wednesday’s semi-final match against the Netherlands.
Hugh said of Ollie Watkins’ winner: “I’m so excited. I actually got fired up in the 87th minute, 1-1, and then I got to see that incredible goal.
Meanwhile, Ryan added: ‘That sub comes on and just… I always love it when subs come on towards the end of the game.
‘I always think in my head: ‘Release the dogs.”

She wasn’t the only chart-topping star in attendance at the match, as Ed Sheeran was also spotted in the crowd wearing a red England shirt ahead of the team’s spectacular win.
England fans erupted into a frenzy after substitute Ollie Watkins dramatically secured the winner for the Three Lions just seconds from the end of extra time.
Ollie scored a stunning shot into the bottom left corner in the 90th minute to send Gareth Southgate’s men into Sunday’s final against Spain in Berlin.
The striker had replaced captain Harry Kane, who had earlier equalised for England with a first-half penalty, cancelling out Xavi Simons’ wonder goal after just seven minutes.
Watching the game before the win, Ed seemed in better spirits and was smiling as he chatted with his friends, wearing a navy and white baseball cap.

Adele will be in Germany throughout August for her open-air concert series in Munich while taking a break from her Las Vegas residency.
The star was also seen reacting to Harry Kane’s opening goal as he jumped in the air in excitement as they drew level with the Netherlands, who scored in the opening minutes of the match.
Olly Murs watched the match from Box Park at Wembley in London while cheering on England from his home country.
The singer looked very happy after England scored, as he wore a blue England shirt and protected himself from the rain with a poncho.
