Ryan Garcia claimed he broke Devin Haney’s jaw during his stunning majority decision win on Saturday night.
Haney, previously undefeated world champion, was knocked down three times during the all-American fight in Brooklyn, New York.
The scores of 112-112, 114-110 and 115-109 gave the decision to García, whose left hook was devastating.
However, the Californian did not win Haney’s WBC light welterweight title after missing weight for the competition.
After the fight, Garcia posted on X: ‘Damn Devin supposedly has a broken jaw. The name of the game, I guess. Whats Next?’

Garcia later claimed on social media that one of his punches broke Haney’s jaw.
Garcia scored three takedowns on the world champion to claim a majority decision victory.
The underdog Garcia got off to a blistering start in the contest, landing a left hook in the first minute to bend Haney’s legs.
Haney recovered and appeared to be in control until he was sent to the canvas for the first time in his professional career in the seventh round.
Garcia continued his offense despite being deducted a point for throwing a punch after the referee asked the boxers to stop.
He sent Haney to the canvas two more times, but both were ruled no takedown before dropping him again at the 10th and 11th with left hooks.
Garcia was criticized for his behavior during the build-up to the fight, which culminated in him being 3.2 pounds overweight on Friday.
He had previously agreed to pay Haney $500,000 for every pound he was overweight, costing him a whopping $1.5 million.
His recent erratic tweets and behavior on fight week led many to question whether the competition should go ahead.
It began in March, when Garcia claimed he was dead after his throat had been “slit.”
He got into a fight with an audience member at Thursday’s news conference after launching into an expletive-filled rant mentioning mothers, dogs and body parts.
Garcia threw several of his trademark left hooks to take the fight away from Haney.
Haney did his best to land some blows, but he was barely able to get a glove on Garcia.
Instead, it was Garcia who did the most damage, sending Haney to the canvas three times.
In recent days, Garcia also proposed to Australian porn star Savannah Bond, accused Haney of a hate crime while identifying as a woman, and was kicked out of a New York Mets game before he even made a first planned release.
But after his victory, Garcia said: ‘Did you really think I was crazy? You all lost your minds. You exaggerate everything.
Haney, who suffered his first loss in 32 professional fights, said: “I am disappointed in my performance. I [showed I] He was a true champion and could fight after being knocked down.
There were wild celebrations in Garcia’s camp after his surprising victory on Saturday night.
‘I fell asleep with the left hook. We trained for it but I went in and fell asleep.
‘I gave him a chance, it’s only fair that he give it back to me. He didn’t make weight, so I’m still the champion. We can return it.
