The TV presenter, 64, looked in good spirits as she got glammed up at the salon and took to her Instagram Stories to share a glimpse of the haircut with her fans.
Ruth’s sophisticated bob was expertly trimmed by hairstylist Leo Bancroft, with the star still swinging her bangs, but sporting a lighter blonde than usual.
Showing his approval at the look in the mirror, he smiled at the camera and captioned the clip: ‘The Master at work!’

He took to Instagram alongside S Club 7’s Jo O’Meara, who contacted him after finding out about his spinal problems two years ago, as she had suffered the same crippling pain.

Eamonn uses a wheelchair due to chronic back pain and painful physiotherapy sessions.

He explained: ‘Last year I had back problems, from which I haven’t recovered. It’s not good, I have to say it’s not a good recipe.
Before their split, Ruth revealed she feared Eamonn would “never be 100 per cent right”.
