Ruth Langsford was reportedly left “upset” by claims that the reason for her split from Eamonn Holmes was due to his health problems.
The Loose Women presenter and the broadcaster, both 64, announced last week their plans to divorce after 14 years of marriage and 27 years together.
Eamonn has suffered several health problems in recent years, including crippling back pain and a bout with shingles, and Ruth has been at his side looking after him throughout.
And Ruth has been left sad because rumors have circulated that this contributed to their separation, according to Sun.
It comes as it is claimed that a friend of Ruth’s said she was left “devastated” when she discovered “messages from another woman” on Eamonn’s laptop, which was allegedly the real reason they split.

Eamonn has suffered a number of health problems in recent years, including crippling back pain and a bout with shingles, and Ruth has been by his side looking after him through it all.
Eamonn praised Ruth for her “incredible” support after he suffered a fall down the stairs at his home in November 2022.
In 2016, Eamonn underwent a double hip replacement operation that lasted three and a quarter hours after living in severe pain for many years.
Then in 2018, Eamonn detailed his battle with shingles and how he contracted the virus on his son Declan’s wedding day.
His years of chronic back pain began in the spring of 2021, something that came out of nowhere.
The pain became so severe that it left Eamonn dependent on a cane, but he soon discovered the root cause.
He finally discovered that there were three herniated discs that affected the movement of his right leg.
In September 2022, Eamonn was forced to step away from his GB news show while he underwent vital back surgery to relieve his chronic back pain.
Then, in November 2022, Eamonn suffered a horrific accident in which he fell down some stairs at his home in Surrey, leading to a broken shoulder weeks after his massive spinal surgery.

Ruth recently said she “lives in hope” that her mobility will improve.
Speaking to Woman’s Weekly, Ruth said: “I don’t know how much Eamonn’s mobility will improve. We live in hope.
“He plays the physio, but you may have to accept that this will never be 100% correct.” Any caregiving situation (and there are millions of caregivers in this country) is not always easy. “It’s a test, but we did it as a family.”
Ruth added: “I look at Eamonn, who has had health problems and back problems, and it makes you realize how important your health is.”

The publication previously reported that Eamonn had become close to a younger friend over the past year, a blonde divorcee and relationship counselor, with whom he has been on a “series of outings.”
MailOnline has contacted Eamonn’s representative. Ruth’s representative declined to comment.
On Thursday, Ruth’s friends reportedly insisted there is “no chance” of her reuniting with Eamonn.

This week, a friend of Ruth’s said Mirror: ‘Ruth was hurt when she found out about Eamonn’s friendship with another woman, but she is strong and will be back soon with a smile on her face, giving her best, as she always does.
“She needs a bit of time to regroup after everything she’s been through, which is understandable, but she plans to return to Loose Women, with renewed vigour, in July.”
The friend also insisted there was “no chance” of the couple getting back together.
Reports claim Eamonn and the woman got in touch via social media after they were both involved with a mental health charity.
A spokesperson for Ruth said: ‘Ruth had a holiday booked from Loose Women and has extended her leave. She is looking forward to returning to the show in due course.”
Eamon and Ruth recently revealed they are headed for divorce After-work engagements “took their marriage in different directions.”
While Eamonn’s new friendship is not said to be the reason for the breakdown of the marriage, it is understood that Ruth did not know her until recently and decided to take time off work.
The source said: ‘Ruth was obviously aware that her marriage was falling apart, but as details emerged, her upset turned to anger.
“Eamonn’s friend is amazed by the attention and kindness he gives him.”
The couple met through Twitter after the woman commented on a post and that sparked a conversation between the couple.
Friends explained that the woman’s counseling skills include dealing with “feeling sad” and “separation and divorce,” so it seems appropriate that she supports Eamonn in this time of uncertainty.

Eamonn’s friends said he was “angry and bewildered” by her decision to share the news that they were divorcing.

The announcement was described as a “joint statement.”
A friend of Eamonn told the Mail: ‘Eamonn was shocked, it was terrible for him.
‘He literally found out very shortly before it was published; We are talking about hours.
“It all seems a bit strange given that the statement said they hoped to keep the relationship friendly.”
‘Eamonn wanted nothing to do with this, he saw no reason why you would publish that statement.
‘It was entirely written and signed by Ruth and her team. In the end he had no power over it.’
