Ruth Langsford will reportedly not return to Loose Women this week as she extends her break from the daytime show.
The TV presenter, 64, and Eamonn Holmes, also 64, recently revealed they are headed for divorce after work commitments “took their marriage in different directions”.
And on Saturday it was revealed that Eamonn is reportedly being comforted over his fractured marriage by a blonde divorcee in her 40s who is also a relationship counsellor.
According SunEamonn has been getting close to an unknown woman since last year after they first came into contact several years ago.
While she is not said to be the reason for the marriage breakdown, it is understood Ruth did not know her until recently and she will not appear on TV again this week.

A source said Sun: ‘Ruth will not appear on screen again this week.
“She has decided to extend her break from ITV, so she will not be returning to the Loose Women panel just yet.”
Eamonn is said to have dated the woman, including a visit to a safari park, and allegedly pampered her with gifts.
He also has supported a charity linked to his work and helped organize a fundraising event for free.
The woman’s name has never been mentioned, Eamonn made sure not to reveal it on social media, and the publication reported that Ruth was apparently unaware of their meetings until recently.
Sources told the newspaper that Eamonn treated his close friend to several extravagant days out, including a Beyonce concert, a visit to Center Parcs last year and tickets to watch his favorite team, Man United, play at Old Trafford.
They explained: ‘Ruth was obviously aware that her marriage was falling apart, but as details emerged, her upset turned to anger.
“Eamonn’s friend is amazed by the attention and kindness he gives him.”

Friends explained that the woman’s counseling skills include dealing with “feeling sad” and “separation and divorce,” so it seems appropriate that she supports Eamonn in this time of uncertainty.

However, while Eamonn approaches another woman, Ruth was seen still wearing her wedding ring when she appeared on QVC on Thursday.
Appearing live on QVC Shopping to promote her clothing range, Ruth was seen still sporting her wedding ring despite the couple’s shock.
Ruth looked radiant on the show, as she donned a pink cricket-style jumper and white trousers, along with a pair of sandals.
It was just hours after an old clip of Eamonn resurfaced in January where he said he might one day return to Northern Ireland and marry a “local girl”.
Speaking on NVTV Conversations with Gerry Kelly in January, Eamonn spoke movingly about his three years of hell, in which he has lost his mother, his job, his beloved home in Belfast and now his wife Ruth.

‘If I get another wife, maybe I’ll go back and get a local girl. It’s horrible to talk about Ruth being hit by a bus, it’s horrible.
The couple married in 2010 after dating for 13 years and said that despite their split, they are “determined to remain friends.”
