This is the hilarious moment that a traffic stop in St. Petersburg, Russia went spectacularly wrong when police officers were forced to follow their suspect on foot after a crash of their team car.
The officers tried to engage the driver of a yellow VW Golf who managed to squeeze through an opening between the team car and the sidewalk and drove on.
The suspect then found an opening between a truck and another car and pushed his car forward.

The police officer saw the escape attempt and drove the other side of the road to advance the traffic – but plowed in a BMW X5 in the opposite direction.
The bewildered officers left their car in the middle of the road and tried to chase on foot.
However, the suspect understood the two officers running toward him and buried his foot on the gas pedal and ran away.
