Russia warns Europe will ‘disappear’ in a nuclear apocalypse if the West gives Ukraine missiles

Russia has warned that Europe will “disappear” in a nuclear apocalypse in the Kremlin’s last doom for supplying Ukraine with missiles.

Viacheslav Volodin, the head of the State Duma, lashed out after former Polish foreign minister Radoslaw Sikorski said Western allies could send more weapons to besieged Kiev.

Sikorski alleged that Vladimir Putin had violated the 1994 Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances, justifying the Western supply of nuclear weapons.

He told Ukrainian broadcaster Espreso TV that the deliveries would give Ukraine a chance to defend its independence.

Ukraine agreed to give up all of its nuclear weapons left over from the fall of the Soviet Union, and acceded to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.

Volodin slammed the comments, writing on Telegram according to: The sun: ‘With such delegates, Europeans will face much more serious problems than they already have (refugees, record inflation, energy crisis).

‘Sikorski is causing a nuclear conflict in the center of Europe.

“He is not thinking about the future of Ukraine or the future of Poland.

“If his suggestions are accepted, these countries will cease to exist, as will Europe.

“Sikorski and the like are the reason why Ukraine should not only be liberated from Nazi ideology, but also demilitarized and secure the country’s nuclear-free status.”

Ukraine has asked for more weapons, but the West has been reluctant amid Russian warnings and the war of attrition in the Donbas.

The country needs 1,000 howitzers, 500 tanks and 1,000 drones, among other heavy weapons, presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak said Monday.

Moscow has issued the latest of several recent reports saying it has destroyed US and European weapons and equipment.

The Russian defense ministry said high-precision air missiles hit near the train station in Udachne, northwest of Donetsk, hitting equipment supplied to Ukrainian troops.

Ukraine’s interior ministry on Telegram said Udachne had been hit by a Russian attack from Sunday to Monday, without stating whether any weapons were aimed.

Moscow has criticized the United States and other countries for sending weapons to Ukraine and has threatened to attack new targets if the West provided long-range missiles.

Volodin’s latest threat comes after one of Vladimir Putin’s main allies warned that the “Horsemans of the Apocalypse are on their way.”

Dmitry Medvedev, the former president of Russia, warned that Moscow would attack western cities if Ukraine uses missiles supplied by the US.

The 56-year-old Kremlin insider is currently deputy head of the Russian National Security Council and served as president from 2008 to 2012, while Putin had limited his term in office, although he remained under his influence.

He wrote last week: “I am often asked why my Telegram messages are so loud. The answer is that I hate them. They are b*****ds and degenerate.

“They want death for Russia. And as long as I live, I will do everything I can to make them disappear.”

By ‘she’ that Medvedev refers to is meant Ukraine and its allies.

Days earlier, he said Moscow would escalate their war against the West if US-supplied missiles are used against Russian forces, saying: “The Horsemen of the Apocalypse are already on their way.”

Medvedev, previously seen as a modernizer and more liberal figurehead for Russia, has also accused Ukraine of being run by drugged Nazis.

Last month, he warned that military aid to Ukraine could lead to nuclear war with Russia.

He wrote on Telegram: “NATO countries pumping weapons into Ukraine, training troops to use Western equipment, sending mercenaries and exercises from alliance countries near our borders increase the likelihood of direct and open conflict between NATO and Russia.

‘Such a conflict always has the risk of degenerating into a full-blown nuclear war.’
