He won Oscar Gold for Best Actor in 2001 thanks to his acclaimed performance in Gladiator.

But Russell Crowe has admitted that an overwhelming sense of guilt prevented him from fully putting his moment in the spotlight.

The 56-year-old spoke to Richard Wilkins today on Tuesday, claiming he never deserved the praise he received for the role, as it was Gladiator director Ridley Scott who really made the film a success.
