Russell Crowe has shaved decades off his age by going under the razor for the first time in five years.
The Gladiator star, 59, took to social media on Monday to give fans a glimpse of her strikingly different new look.
In recent years he has become recognizable by his thick silver beard, but now he has decided to get rid of it, opting for a completely shaven look.
He revealed it was the first time he had shaved in five years and took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to reveal his new look.
In an accompanying caption, Russell hinted that the transformation was for a film role, writing: ‘Actor prepares number 20. First shave since 2019.’

Fans quickly took to the comments section to say that Russell looked “20 years younger” and gave his seal of approval to his appearance.
They wrote: ‘Wow, you look 20 years younger!’; ‘You can see it well! It’s good to change it and shave. You have a pretty face that hides behind all that hair’;
’20 years younger instantly!’; “I want to know what movie you’re about to make. Clean shaven is fine.”
Russell, who was born in New Zealand and lives in Sydney, is gearing up for a slew of acting projects this year.
He will star in MMA action film The Beast In Me, while he will also play Nazi Hermann Göring in James Vanderbilt’s historical drama Nuremberg.
Russell also recently starred in the thriller Land of Bad alongside Liam and Luke Hemsworth, while he will also appear in the upcoming sci-fi film Kraven the Hunter.
