Katy Perry announced that she has officially left American Idol during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday night, eight months after inside sources exclusively revealed to DailyMail.com that she felt “thrown under the bus” by producers.

The 39-year-old pop star and American Idol judge used her spot on the show to announce her departure from the music competition series after nearly seven years.

The multi-hyphenate has been planning her exit from the show since last year, when it was revealed that she repeatedly felt “thrown under the bus by producers” who she believed were purposely editing her to make her look like the “nasty judge.”

To share the big news during the TV interview, the shoe designer, who suited up with fiancé Orlando Bloom last month, showed off her taut tummy in a sexy look.

The long-sleeved ensemble hugged her curves and featured a subtle side slit that teased one of her long legs.
