It’s been a long time since Ubisoft’s official reveal of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and given the fact that we’ve only seen much of the game but its cinematic reveal, it’s no wonder that fans of the series are furious about its development process, which seems to be taking longer.
In December 2022, journalist Tom Henderson reported that the Assassin’s Creed Mirage game targets August 2023 as a launch date, but yesterday he returned via his Twitter account and claimed that the game was postponed internally and is now targeting October for its release. Of course, Tom’s statements are in line with recent leaks that claimed that the game will be delayed, and that it is now targeting either the fourth quarter of 2023 or the second quarter of 2024.
If Mirage has already been postponed, this will not be the first time that the game has been postponed internally. If previous reports are true, the game was targeting Spring 2023 as a release date before it was postponed to August 2023, but we are expected to see the game officially and learn how true it is. This news will be on June 12th, during the new Ubisoft Forward episode.
In addition to the Assassin’s Creed Mirage game, Tom Henderson has also stated that the virtual reality game Assassin’s Creed Nexus exclusive to the Meta Quest glasses has been postponed.
It seems like AC Mirage has been internally delayed from August to October. Nexus, AC’s VR offering has also been delayed a couple of months.
