Rumer Willis shares touching photos of Bruce Willis holding granddaughter Louetta on Father’s Day

Rumer Willis spent some precious time with his dad Bruce Willis to celebrate Father’s Day on Sunday.

The 34-year-old actress shared sweet photos on Instagram of her 68-year-old father holding eight-week-old daughter Louetta, which appeared to be the first publicly shared photo of the two together.

The action star – who recently battled frontotemporal dementia after quitting acting early last year – gently cradled the baby girl in his arms as his family celebrated the special day.

The show of love comes after daughter Tallulah Willis, 29, claimed her father had shown signs of mental decline years earlier.

The Armageddon star was dressed in a black, white and gray plaid button-up shirt with a black baseball cap and dark pants in the photos shared by Rumer.

He held Louetta, who wore an adorable blue and orange floral print jumpsuit, as he gazed out over the pool and the surrounding landscape.

Rumer made an appearance in another photo as she held Louetta while her father affectionately rested his chin on her head.

The three of them were looking in different directions, Rumer flashing a sweet smile as he looked at the camera, even as his dad appeared to be looking at a different camera and the baby was looking sweetly at his grandfather.

Rumer showed off her post-baby body in a pretty dusty blue polka dot skirt with a white top and an elegant pale yellow cardigan.

“Fathers of old and new,” she began her caption.

“Seeing my father hold my daughter in his arms today is something I will cherish for the rest of my life. His gentleness and love for her was so pure and beautiful,” she continued. ‘Dad, I’m so lucky to have you and Lou too. Thank you for being the silliest, most loving, and coolest dad a daughter could ask for. Best dad girl in the game….’

Rumer also congratulated her partner Derek Thomas, with whom she shares her first child.

A photo showed him shirtless with long hair lying on a bed with Louetta and an open book.

In another photo, her hair was tied back in a messy bun while her face was painted comically white with some kind of cream.

“Happy 1st Father’s Day,” Rumer continued in his caption while tagging Derek.

‘Thank you for building a beautiful garden for Lou to play and eat. Thanks for filling the house with music so she can hear it. Thanks for all the late night diaper changes and silly faces,” she wrote.

“I’m so grateful that our daughter has a dad who loves her so much and someone so goofy and weird, so she knows it’s good for her too. Thank you for the biggest girl I could imagine in my wildest dreams.

Bruce’s daughter Scout, who he shares with ex-wife Demi Moore, also wished her dad a Happy Father’s Day on Sunday.

She shared a sweet photo of Bruce kissing her forehead, which also appears to have been taken at the family reunion on Sunday.

“Sending this love’s blessing to everyone today,” she began her caption. “I feel so lucky to know the kind of tenderness this man shares, the deep admiration, respect and reverence he has for his family. I feel so lucky that this amazing and dynamic man is my father.

“Thinking of everyone for whom today has been a challenge and I love you from the bottom of my heart!” she added. “What patience, compassion and presence we learn through the greatest challenges of our lives.”

Another image she shared on Instagram showed Bruce deeply focused. He seemed to shake Scout’s hand in his and rested his forehead on it affectionately.

“It was while I was singing for him,” Scout revealed on his Instagram Stories.

Bruce received many other Father’s Day tributes, including one from his ex-wife Demi Moore, who spent a lot of time with him and their adult daughters before his aphasia and dementia diagnosis announcements.

On Sunday, she posted a cute black-and-white photo of the Pulp Fiction star with her three oldest daughters.

“Always grateful to BW for giving me these three beautiful girls,” the Ghost actress wrote. ‘We love our #girldad. Happy Father’s Day!’
