Fans are wondering if Cristiano Ronaldo has adopted a new look after several photos circulated online.
While the former Real Madrid and Manchester United star has changed his hairstyle several times over the years, he has almost always maintained a clean-shaven look in terms of facial hair.
I mean, maybe until now…
A couple of photos have gone viral on social media showing the 39-year-old looking completely transformed and sporting a full beard.
However, not all fans are convinced that Ronaldo’s new look is genuine. One wrote: “It suits him but I know this is AI generated and looks very real.”

Some fans noticed that the photos were remarkably similar to those posted on Ronaldo’s Instagram.
Another writing agreed: “Isn’t that AI?”
The source of the apparently edited images can be found on Ronaldo’s Instagram in a post from last week training alongside his teammates.
Other fans saw the funny side and noted that in the image Ronaldo looks like both his international teammate Bernardo Silva and former Manchester United star Michael Carrick.
Friday’s clash between Al Nassr and Al Feiha would have served as the perfect opportunity for curious fans to get to the bottom of the question of whether the image had been edited.
However, Ronaldo was absent as a Sadio Mane brace led Al Nassr to victory at the Al-Awwal Stadium.
The 39-year-old was suspended for the Saudi Pro League clash after receiving a red card for appearing to elbow and stomp on an opponent during the Saudi Cup semi-final last week.
All hell broke loose in the dying moments of the match with Al-Nassr trailing 2-0 when the Real Madrid legend saw red following a collision with Al-Hilal’s Ali Al-Bulaihi near the touchline.
Ronaldo was absent on Friday when Sadio Mane scored a brace in Al Nassr’s victory over Al Feiha.
The 39-year-old was serving a suspension after being sent off in the club’s Saudi Arabia Cup defeat to Ali Al-Bulaihi.
Al-Bulaihi attempted to prevent the Portuguese superstar from grabbing the ball for a quick throw-in, leading to the pair squaring up with the ball still out of play.
Footage then appeared to show Ronaldo throwing an elbow in the direction of the Al-Hilal defender, sending him to the ground and causing a melee of pushing and shoving between the players, with the opposition unhappy with the challenge.
Another clip then appeared showing Ronaldo trampling an already downed Al-Bulaihi, but advertising signs obstructed the view, so it was unclear if Ronaldo made contact with the player.
