Rumors are swirling that former President Donald Trump may announce a third campaign for the White House Monday night — but Trump and himself are at odds over whether he should wait until after the midterm elections, sources tell DailyMail.com.
He thinks he shouldn’t, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani told DailyMail.com Monday afternoon, arguing that what’s likely to be a strong Republican show across the country is best left to speak for itself.
A separate source close to Trump’s orbit said the former president wants to make the announcement tonight in order to take credit for the expected “red wave” on Tuesday — but said others are warning him he “doesn’t want to be on the hook for surprise losses.”
Trump is holding his fourth MAGA rally in four days on Monday, appearing in Ohio alongside Republican Senate nominee JD Vance. It is his latest push to help Republicans regain control of Congress during the last two years of President Joe Biden’s term.
An ally and friend for more than three decades, Giuliani embarked on his multi-state effort to support Republican midterm candidates, and he’s broadcasting his WABC radio show from New Hampshire on Monday to cover his tight races.
In addition to predicting GOP victories there and other battleground states — and even the blue bastion of New York — it also predicts a Trump comeback in 2024.
‘I think he’s going to run. In fact, I’m at a point where I’d be surprised if he didn’t.
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s office provided the former GOP’s official campaign photos to GOP midterm candidates when interviewed by DailyMail.com the day before Election Day.

Giuliani held a press conference in Times Square in New York City to call on local leaders to address the growing crime issues. Republicans are likely to win on Tuesday, he told DailyMail.com, and the victory should be allowed to stand on its own

He also spoke with reporters Monday from New Hampshire where he is campaigning for Don Bolduc and Caroline Levitt
He declined to go into details of his personal conversations with Trump, but noted that he had been “reading tea leaves in order to be his friend of 32 years.”
Asked if Trump should go ahead with his announcement tonight, Giuliani advised against it.
“Now, I like where we are. I don’t think — it can always be a surprise, we can always be wrong, right? But if you ask me, could this be better for a big Republican win? No, so leave it alone,” The former Big Apple mayor explained. “Don’t add anything new to it.”
Republicans “could not be better positioned to win,” he said earlier, amid overwhelming Americans’ discontent with Democrats’ handling of the economy, noting that he was an early supporter of many of the same MAGA candidates Trump has since endorsed such as Carrie Lake. in Arizona.
With this potential success in mind, he said of Trump: “I would say the short answer is, if I were him, I wouldn’t make an announcement tonight.”
However, the Trump ally has indicated that the former president has his support if and when he makes his announcement.

Meanwhile, another Trump source said, if the former president’s instincts are going to be made public tonight, he should ‘go after them’ (pictured at a Sunday night rally in Miami)

“He’s going to be the one person who really gets us to where the American people long to be,” Giuliani said. “They are very upset because not only are they in a very bad position now financially, but they can compare it directly to where they were two years ago.”
Meanwhile, another Trumpworld source said they endorse his 2024 announcement at a rally Monday night — and that the former president was “considering” doing so.
He wants to announce, he wants to take credit for tomorrow. “There are people telling him to back off,” the source told DailyMail.com.
What they will try to tell them is that you don’t want to be in trouble if we have any sudden losses.
My line of thinking and others, he says, are in the other camp, look, he’s not holding back. He’s always followed his instincts and if his instincts tell him we’ll be fine in these places, go for it.

The final midterm poll projection shows Republicans taking control of the House of Representatives and taking three seats in the Senate, with less than 24 hours until millions of Americans go to the polls.

Thirty-four congressional races are still considered a throwback, but the Republicans clearly have the momentum, despite the Democrats’ small comeback in the closing stages.
“I did a lot better the second time around,” Trump said at his latest rally, in Miami, Florida, Sunday night. “Now, in order for us to make our country successful and glorious, I will probably have to do it again.”
However, if the former president does not run, Giuliani said Republicans are still in a better position to take back the White House than Democrats to keep it.
He added his prediction that Biden would not run for a second term. The president has not said if he intends to run again, but officials around him have indicated that it is very likely.
“God forbid, something happens to the former president, or he makes a decision not to run, I think we have — we have a large number of candidates,” Giuliani said.
‘They don’t have one.’ They have a president who can’t run. I won’t care what they tell you. You won’t. He can’t get her off the stage, how will he run? “
But the former mayor declined to say who he would prefer if Trump wasn’t an option in 2024.
“I wouldn’t even begin to guess about that,” Giuliani said. I just know I love that we have so many options.
