Rudy Giuliani, Marla Maples and Dr. Ruth attend the Zang Toi NYFW show

Rudy Giuliani, Marla Maples and Dr. Ruth was among the eclectic mix of guests to attend the New York Fashion Week show by Zang Toi on Saturday.

Giuliani’s appearance on the catwalk show was a total surprise, according to Toi. He told Women’s clothing daily that President Donald Trump’s private lawyer was having lunch with his friend, David Newsb, Fox News, when he decided to attend the presentation.

“Giuliani heard David come to my show and said he wanted to come too,” Toi said, adding, “He told me after the show that he had a lot of fun.”

The former mayor of New York City seemed to be in a good mood when he took pictures with both the designer and the fans during the show, which took place a few days after the acquittal of Trump in his trial of depositing the Senate.

Although many designers have made it clear that they are anti-Trump, Toi seems to have embraced all members of the inner circle of the Republican president.

Maples, Trump’s second ex-wife, is a close friend and fervent proponent of the designer.

“Marla, she’s my biggest fan,” Toi told WWD.

And she is not the only ex of the president who has a close relationship with the designer.

Toi said that since 1995 he has dressed the president’s first wife, Ivana Trump, and that she is one of his “most loyal customers and friends.”

He also noted that Trump’s only daughter with Ivana – Ivanka – modeled ‘five times’ for him.

“Well, nowadays it takes a lot to get me on a pair of high heels … and even more to prevent me from falling off. But my friend # ZangToi show was worth it because he shared the heart of fashion # NYC style, “she endorsed the clip. “A great way to spend a Saturday night.”

Maples has been a fixture in the shows of the designer for years, who have become a who’s who of the Republican party.

In February 2019, she was in the front row with Fox News anchor Bill Hemmer, her former stepson Donald Trump Jr. and his girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle.

“I have Donald Trump Jr. never met until recently. Kimberly Guilfoyle brought him to the [last] show. I think working-class America can resonate with them because they are not conceited, “Toi told WWD.

“Don Jr. and Kimberly were so sad that they couldn’t come this time, “he added. “Both were main speakers for their father in Reno, Nevada. They work so hard on behalf of their father. Even with all their money, they travel coach class. “

Although Alt has defended Trump in the past, Ruth, a Holocaust, was shocked when the Trump administration separated refugee children from their parents and had them caged.

Her indignation was what inspired her to begin to become politics and her Hulu documentary, Ask Dr. Ruth, to be filmed describing her life as a Holocaust survivor.

“I’m not talking about politics – except nowadays I’ve changed my mind,” she told the Daily Beast in June.

“I stand up to express how angry I am when I see children separated from their parents – because that is my story, from my life – and also how angry I am about the issue of abortion and the issue of family planning, because that is what I have worked on all my professional life. In a sense, it all fits together and I can express my philosophy. ”
